Jah SazzaH - Drums, Production

Born in 1979 in Syracuse, Sicily, Alessandro “Jah Sazzah” Azzaro grew up learning, composing, and performing reggae and ska music with his brother in the band “Kebana.” At age 17, Jah Sazzah temporarily left Syracuse to study at the Professional Music Center (CPM) in Milan with the renowned drummer Gilson Silveira. After concluding his studies, Jah Sazzah began to work as a professional drummer, accompanying world-class musicians like Manu Chao, Mau Mau, Africa Unite, Linton Kewsi Johnson, Negrita, and Max Romeo. Upon joining the Sicilian rocksteady group Roy Paci & Aretuska, Jah Sazzah toured the world and became a producer for the band. In recent years, Jah Sazzah has expanded his recording studio and record label, Sazzah Studio Records, and commonly tracks drums for projects all around the world—like with Russian dancehall artist Steppa Style, and Jamaican icon Ken Boothe.
